My role is to guide and support you through the various stages of the college application process, including high school course selection, college list building, application strategy, and essay development.
I also place a strong emphasis on reducing stress, because I recognize how overwhelming this process can feel. Just as importantly, I believe the college admissions process should not take over your high school experience.
In many ways, I serve as your project manager, helping you stay organized, on track, and focused so you can approach the process with clarity and confidence.
I offer a free initial consultation so you can get a feel for my approach and determine whether it aligns with your goals and needs. This conversation is low-pressure and designed to be informative. If your needs fall outside my area of expertise, I will be transparent and let you know, and I'm always happy to help point you toward the right resources or support.
At CAP, I work alongside an experienced essay coach to provide thoughtful, individualized feedback throughout the writing process. Our goal is to help each essay become clearer, more cohesive, and more compelling—while always preserving the student’s authentic voice.
Most meetings take place virtually over Zoom, typically one-on-one with just the student. Why? Because you are the one leading this process and ultimately heading off to college. This approach encourages independence, ownership, and honest conversation. It also allows for flexibility and consistency regardless of location.
No. Admissions decisions are made by the colleges themselves, and no counselor has the ability to guarantee acceptance. What I can promise is thoughtful, strategic guidance throughout the process. My goal is to help you present your most authentic, compelling, and well-crafted application so you are putting your best foot forward at every school you apply to.
The college application process is most successful when students take ownership of their work, and parents provide support behind the scenes. I encourage families to embrace a clear division of roles that builds student independence, confidence, and readiness for college life.
My services are billed at an hourly rate in organized blocks of time to keep the process clear and predictable for families. Please contact me to schedule a meeting, and I’ll walk you through the details and answer any questions you may have.
I typically take on 15–20 students per class so I can really get to know each student and support them in a thoughtful, individualized way throughout the process.
